Raghav Gupta is a Senior Manager II of Software Engineering at Walmart with a focus on architecting business solutions, talent development, and customer satisfaction. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he is leading two highly efficient and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver multi-regional, highly available, and efficient web apps for Merchants at Walmart. Raghav began his career as a Firmware Engineer at Landis+Gyr Ltd. (Toshiba), where he was responsible for software development, system integration, and unit and integration testing. He led a team of seven and worked on modifying and debugging real-time OS using JTAG on IAR Workbench 6.5 to identify and resolve system issues. He engineered interrupts and GPIOs of Atmel SAM4S microcontroller to invoke functionalities like Power Outage and Service Request in the communication module, developed functionalities like meter firmware over-the-air download and meter RTC Time Sync in communication module to update firmware and clock of Smart meters, and designed and supervised the manufacturing and integration process for the production of integrated Smart Meter units. He analyzed network congestion in deployed RF mesh for ANSI meters in 2 MHz band of 865–867 MHz frequencies to increase the efficiency of the mesh network and resolved RF mesh network and module firmware field issues to enhance the performance of the smart grid. Later, Raghav worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Aspect Software, where he served as an escalation point for developers and other teams to remediate issues in various systems by log analysis, shell scripting, and debugging network connectivity to quickly identify the root cause and bring the service online. He developed a platform to facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery for web apps in Kubernetes cluster in AWS and Azure using tools like Groovy, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Docker, and Helm. He designed and developed a common platform to automate vulnerability scanning of docker images with Clair, Nexus IQ, Coverity, etc. using Groovy, Jenkins, and Docker. He created SLI dashboards to monitor service uptime and issue alerts using Datadog, Pingdom, and Slack. Raghav holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida, a B Tech. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, and a Higher Secondary degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Informatics Practices, and English from Delhi Public School Ghaziabad.
