Raghu Vijaykumar is a Solutions Architect with expertise in programming, cloud, and DevOps. With over 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Raghu has designed and developed scalable, resilient distributed, low latency, and high-performing systems. He has a passion for developing applications with an emphasis on high reusability and automation. Raghu is known for his ability to learn anything that falls under his interest, his ability to listen, mentor, and collaborate. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Miratech, Raghu is involved in the migration of Customer Integrated Transaction Processing System (PII data) in IBM Mainframe to Google Cloud Dataflow. The goal of the project is to become "Mainframe Free" and handle millions of transactions per day. Previously, Raghu worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Boeing, where he processed 500GB+/daily of flight sensor data in streaming and batch modes. He also minimized time to market by 2 months while assisting military data processing team, with similar design principles, using self-managed, Kubernetes cluster on Openshift. Raghu guided 2 developers in migration of applications into a cloud-native design and moving out of Apache Hadoop, on-prem VM's due to enterprise data strategies. He lowered storage cost on Big Query by 80% preventing the explosion of compressed orc data. Storage optimization is achieved by normalization and efficiently storing the same sensor values with timestamp ranges. Raghu was part of the digital transformation and enterprise data strategy at Boeing, where he gained experience in Service and Data Governance Strategies. Raghu holds an Engineer's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University. He has also completed an internship in Telecommunications Engineering from BSNL. Raghu's high school education was completed at Acharya Vidya Kula, where he studied Computer Applications, Mathematics, Science, and languages. Raghu has experience in a wide range of tech stacks, including Kubernetes, Spring, Hadoop, Docker, Microservices, Spring Boot, Jenkins, Python, RabbitMQ, MySQL, SQL, GCP, Data Engineering, Apache Airflow, Java, CI/CD, product manager, ML, Integration, Mobile, Backend, Web, and Flutter.
