Raghuram Janakiraman is a highly skilled Software Development Engineer at Amazon with 6.86 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working as a Software Engineer in the Transitive Authentication (TA) team, Identity Services org at Amazon. In this role, Raghuram is responsible for designing and developing the Control plane & Data plane for TA, which offers a platform to strong-arm security (zero-trust architecture) by plumbing security-related context from Front-end applications to Back-end data custodians, enabling them to enforce Fine-Grained Authorization (FGA). Raghuram is also the Tech Lead for the TA Telemetry initiative, where he designed and developed a Telemetry system that collects and aggregates TA usability metrics at scale and publishes periodically to the server-side. He also built a server-side data processing pipeline using AWS services Kinesis & Athena, which helped gather meaningful insights from processed data. Raghuram's expertise in AWS, ML, Amazon Athena, Frontend, Backend, CNN, Research Scientist, Tensorflow, and Neural Networks has been instrumental in his success at Amazon. Prior to his current role, Raghuram interned with the Login With Amazon (LWA) team, Identity Services org at Amazon. Here, he implemented a feature to share customer address scope information to 3rd party applications (after customer's consent), which enabled LWA Product to offer a better user experience for Amazon customers on 3rd party applications. Raghuram has also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he developed a Machine Learning Image classification model using Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) on TensorFlow framework. The ML model helped minimize manual effort required for image to text translation, commonly used in Medical centers to aid visually challenged. Raghuram holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from PSG College of Technology.
