Raghuram Velega is a highly experienced technology leader with almost 28 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently serving as the Vice President and Head of Data and AI Platforms at Jio Platforms Limited, the largest startup with massive funding. In his current role, Raghuram is responsible for building Reliance Jio's center of excellence for Big Data and Analytics. He is also leading the recruitment of Data Engineers and Data Scientists to work on cutting-edge big data technology. Prior to joining Jio, Raghuram served as the VP of Platform Engineering and CTO at dRISTI, a cognitive computing company that is innovating new breed of SaaS solutions in enterprise front-office and operations with leading-edge platform and intelligent advisors. At dRISTI, he led the Platform Engineering and Development Operations for Distributed and Real-time Computing with leading-edge technologies for dRISTI. He also architected and onboarded IBM’s Hadoop and Spark on IBM Cloud (Softlayer/Bluemix) during his tenure as a Senior Engineering Manager/Lead Architect at IBM. Raghuram's tech stack includes Big Data, AI, Senior Software Engineer, Deep Learning, Research Scientist, Hadoop, Spark, CI/CD, Jenkins, and Integration. He has a strong track record of hiring, retaining, and managing teams onshore and offshore.
