Raheel has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Google, Facebook, Airbnb, and Microsoft. At Facebook, he worked as a Software Engineer on the Scuba Backend, where he was a key player in the F5 BIG-IP platform team. He worked on the Session DB, which is an in-memory distributed, highly available key-value pair database. He proposed and developed asynchronous Session DB callback events, which improved Session DB throughput by 350% and decreased memory utilization by 300% for the same hardware by using custom compression techniques handcrafted after analyzing the data being stored. Raheel also played a vital role in re-implementing the SIP load balancer, which supported message-based load balancing protocols like SIP and Diameter.
