Rahil Balar is an accomplished data scientist, software engineer, and research scientist with a passion for implementing computer science domains and applications to solve real-world problems. He is actively seeking full-time opportunities in data science, data (ETL/Cloud) engineering, and software engineering. With a Master of Science in Computer Science with a Big Data concentration from Simon Fraser University, Rahil has taken courses in Machine Learning, Statistical Learning and Prediction, and Programming for Big Data 1 using Java and Python. He is currently enrolled in the Professional Master of Science in Computer Science Big Data Concentration program for the Fall 2021 term and will be taking Programming for Big Data 2 and Distributed and Cloud Systems in Spring 2022. Rahil has a diverse range of experience in both Canadian and Indian work environments. He is currently a Data Scientist at Statistics Canada, where he works on data science projects in the Data Science Division. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Brilworks Software, he focused on technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring AOP, JPQL, React.js, MySQL, GraphQL, ElasticSearch, AWS EC2, AWS Neptune, AWS RDS, AWS Neptune, AWS AppSync, AWS Chime, and many more AWS services. Rahil has also worked on numerous research-oriented projects at BITS Pilani, PDEU, VGEC, using strong tools of Artificial Intelligence, specifically Machine Learning and Deep Learning. He is fond of Competitive Coding, Programming Logics, Algorithms, Mathematics, Statistical Analysis, and Fuzzy Logic. Rahil is a passionate data scientist and software developer who aims to minimize human effort and provide clarity. He is also an avid bird-watcher, nature conservationist, and horticulture practitioner. Rahil is eager to learn new technologies and is open to exploring them with dedication. His education includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Vishwakarma Government Engineering College and a High School degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English, and Computer Science from Prakash Higher Secondary School.
