Rahul Kumar Gayakwad is a seasoned professional with over 8 years of experience in developing commercial BFSI and e-commerce products, as well as research products using NLP algorithms for classification, prediction, and analysis of data. He is currently working as an SDE II at Swiggy, where he is responsible for building scalable systems. Rahul has experience in designing the architecture of scalable insurance and e-commerce products from scratch. He has been responsible for code review, design review, hiring, mentoring, goal setting, and culture building for a team of 20 people. He has previously co-founded an Indian Ethnic fashion, art, and craft marketplace, www.indofash.com, which served orders from 11 different countries. Rahul is passionate about analyzing real-time problems and designing efficient algorithms to solve them. In his previous role as a Tech Lead at Kuliza, Rahul was responsible for understanding client requirements and translating them into technology solutions and sprint modules. As the CTO of Indofash, Rahul built an e-commerce platform from scratch that is capable of handling high volume traffic. He designed the database architecture of the complete e-commerce product and implemented modular design, making it highly flexible to implement any change in the future. He also built an OMS for the operations team allowing efficient order management and a user-friendly CMS for sellers, allowing them to manage their products and inventory on their own. Rahul has a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Geo-Informatics (Satellite Image Processing) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from OIST, Bhopal.
