Rahul Kumar Singh is an experienced Senior Member Of Technical Staff with a strong background in developing large scale distributed systems. He is skilled in application development using C and C++ on both Linux and Windows. Currently, he is working for VMware's flagship product vSphere High Availability Team for both On-premise and VMware cloud on AWS. His team ensures high availability at all aspects -- Compute/Storage/Network/GuestOS/Apps -- for mission critical VMs. Prior to this, Rahul worked as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at Oracle where he was part of the RAC RDBMS group. He developed solutions like shared buffer cache (cache fusion), distributed locking, and underlying communication layer for Oracle Real Application Clusters. These clusters consist of hundreds of database instances (computers) interacting with each other and are complex by nature. His major challenges were to provide tenant isolation, reliability/fault tolerance, performance, and scalability. The product development involved the use of C. Rahul has also worked as a Specialist at Hewlett Packard. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology. With 11.87 years of relevant experience, Rahul is a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in AWS, Java, infra, and research. He is a strong engineering professional who has demonstrated his skills in developing large scale distributed systems.
