Rahul Advani is a highly motivated and skilled software engineer with a Master's degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University. With almost 3 years of relevant experience, Rahul has worked with some of the leading companies in the industry, including Starbucks and VMware, where he developed features in distributed Microservices products, ensured a stable CI/CD pipeline, and mentored interns and new college graduates. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer at Splunk, where he is leveraging his skills to build efficient data pipelines and data processing jobs to provide real-time ingestion and processing of customer data. Apart from his academic and professional work, Rahul enjoys building independent projects. He co-created a Machine Learning-based, scalable web application called FacesOnMasks, which helps design and fit a person's face onto their mask. Rahul designed and developed the site's responsive frontend and architected its Serverless infrastructure using AWS Lambda and AWS EFS. This project helped Rahul build his technical skill-set and embedded a sense of responsibility and ownership towards it. Rahul has a constant desire to learn, grow, and explore new things independently. He enjoys working with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL, Bash, Scala, C, and HTML5. He is proficient in using tools and frameworks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Spark, PySpark, Hadoop, Kafka, Spring (MVC, Boot, REST), Keras, Jenkins, and databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra DB, and MySQL. Rahul has also worked with cloud services such as Azure (Event Hubs, Databricks), AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, IAM, RDS, Rekognition, EFS), and GCP (Google App Engine, Google Cloud Tasks). Rahul's experience in software engineering, data engineering, cloud computing, and machine learning makes him a valuable asset to any team.
