Rahul Aggarwal is a Software Engineer III at Google, currently working in the Google Pay team. He has over 7 years of relevant experience in the industry. Prior to joining Google, he worked at Microsoft for 5 years in the Microsoft Azure Backup team. During his tenure at Microsoft, he primarily worked on Backup and Recovery Solutions for IaaSVMs (Infrastructure as a Service Virtual Machine). He was the owner of the Data Transfer Microservice, which transfers nearly 10000 TeraBytes of data every day. Rahul also worked on improving the scalability, reliability, resiliency, availability, and efficiency of this service. Rahul graduated with a B.Tech. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from IIT Guwahati in 2016. During his time at IIT Guwahati, he gained a strong foundation in computer science and engineering. Prior to this, he completed his CBSE Higher Secondary School from Delhi Public School, Faridabad. In addition to his experience at Microsoft and Google, Rahul has also worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Myntra. During his internship, he worked on automating the process of neck classification, image processing, OpenCV, image denoising, sleeve classification, and face and hands removal from an image. Rahul has a strong tech stack that includes skills such as software engineering, Azure, microservices, SQL, Java, infra, backend, OpenCV, and image processing. He is a quick learner and has a passion for learning new technologies and tools.
