Rahul Banerjee is a highly accomplished professional with over 35 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, entrepreneurship, outreach, and leadership. He is currently the Director and Professor at the LNM Institute of Information Technology. Rahul holds a PhD in CSE in the Intelligent Systems area and has been trained at prestigious institutions such as BITS Pilani, APSU, AU, the MIT Sloan School of Management, and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Rahul's research and teaching interests lie in the areas of Intelligent Software Systems, Computer Networking, Wearable Computing, IoT, Intelligent Software Systems, and Human-Computer Interaction. He has led and participated in several funded research projects, including those funded by the European Commission, Govt. of India (MeiTY), and the Govt. of France. Microsoft Research, IBM, Cisco, DEC, and Google have also supported his work through a variety of forms and grants. Rahul has had active collaborations involving MIT, University of Oxford, University of Bern, UPM Madrid, Stanford University, University of Haute Alsace, and Telecom Bretagne, amongst others. Prior to joining the LNMIIT Jaipur, Rahul was with the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems at BITS Pilani for about two decades. Rahul is also a Fellow of two learned bodies apart from being a Member of the IEEE, ACM, IET(UK), Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), ISoc, ISTE, and ISCA. He had founded the Touch-Lives.org as a virtual enterprise in the social entrepreneurship space in 2010 that led to technology solutions for the underserved including those for the autistic children, the elderly, and the differently-abled people. Rahul's education history includes a Stanford GSB LEAD Program, a Ph.D. from Amravati University, a Master’s Degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, a B.E. from Awadesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, a Certificate in Big Data from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a SAPM Course on Strategy from Stanford University, and a Certificate in Programming from MANIT.
