Rahul Chauhan is an experienced software engineer with over 13 years of industry experience. He has a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Rahul has worked on complex problems and built architecturally sound systems. He has hands-on experience in producing both detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs. Rahul has contributed to all parts of the software development and deployment life cycle, including design, development, documentation, testing, and operations. At present, Rahul is working at Walmart as an Engineer. He has built/contributed to a Gateway for Walmart Fulfilment System, which serves more than 6000 stores, more than 100 million events per day, across the US, UK, MX, and CA. This system helps in fulfilling millions of customer orders every day without losing a single event. Rahul has built a highly available/Kafka-based event-driven eventual consistent system with Hot/Hot deployment in Azure SC/WS with a multi-node cluster. This system is built with an in-house auto disaster recovery system and can recover the entire system within 5-10 mins in case of disaster. Before joining Walmart, Rahul has worked with General Electric and Snapdeal. At General Electric, he was a Senior Software Engineer and worked on Asset Performance Management (APM) from GE Digital. Rahul was responsible for the design, architecture, and development of the knowledge management module of APM, which enables customers to get similar cases for a particular case. At Snapdeal, he was a Senior Software Engineer and worked on the design and development of the Recommendation System and Dataplatform. Rahul was also responsible for resolving intra-team component dependencies and mentoring juniors to develop new feature/functionalities and delivering high-quality code to production. Rahul has a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from the Krishna Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad. He has experience in AWS, Azure, Java, Microservices, Kafka, MySQL, Cassandra, Jenkins, Postgres, and more. Rahul has experience working as a product manager and has worked on Web, Mobile, and Recommendation systems.
