Rahul Godha is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as an Intern at Cisco Systems, where he has developed an application that applies Deep Packet Inspection technology to classify the packet flow of the traffic and further apply Quality of Service. The application was further enhanced and presented at CISCO LIVE, London ‘2013 by the name of Network Based Application Recognition (NBAR) and HTTP Classification. Rahul is interested in building data-intensive applications and scalable systems. He is always eager to learn, grow and explore new technologies, especially in the LinkedIn Security Infrastructure. His current tech stack includes Software Engineering, Infrastructure, Microservices, AWS, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. Rahul has worked with Cisco in the past as a Software Developer Engineer and Senior Software Developer Engineer. In these roles, he worked on protocols that provide authentication, authorization, and accounting of various end-devices over wired and wireless media. He also worked on the implementation of 802.1X, AAA, Radius, EAP, EAF-FAST, WEBAUTH, MAB, L2 layer encryption (MACSec), and SAP protocols. Additionally, he deployed an end-to-end real-time network topology from access switches to data networks. Rahul holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied from 2015 to 2016. He also has a strong background in programming languages such as LISP, PDL, and C++.
