Rahul Goenka is a highly skilled software developer with over 10 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Rakuten India, where he is part of the Media Service Development Department. Rahul's professional goals include gaining knowledge and exposure to the industry, adapting to new technologies, stepping outside his comfort zone to complete tasks, and constantly improving his skills to complete tasks in the most efficient way possible. Before joining Rakuten, Rahul worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Housejoy, a one-stop destination for home services that gives customers easy access to first-rate professionals across varied services. In this role, he was responsible for developing the vendor onboarding system, checklists, and workflows, as well as managing services inventory, coupon management, catalog, rate card, and logistics management. Rahul also developed the vendor finance management system to collate their accounts for settlement and the user authentication and authorization server to scale roles and permissions and improve security. Prior to Housejoy, Rahul worked as a Member of Technical Staff at NetApp, where he developed software applications for over 2,000 engineers to enable efficient products and technologies development and testing. He was responsible for conducting meetings with stakeholders/customers, performing requirement gathering, resource collection, developing features, design documentation, and review, as well as creating test plans for end-user testing. Rahul also developed a new service called Common Client Pool from scratch using AGILE methodology. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. He is proficient in several programming languages and frameworks, including PHP, Perl, Jquery, HTML, Linux, Windows, Code Ignitor, Selenium, Docker, and Backend.
