Rahul Gupta is an accomplished Engineering Leader with over 12 years of experience in building high availability, high scalable, high throughput, and low latency user-facing services and platforms. He has a proven track record of pioneering solutions in varied sectors like e-commerce, Fintech, Travel commerce, and Personalised marketing. Rahul has experience in setting up high performing organizations for the world’s most valuable companies and start-ups. Currently, Rahul is working as a Senior Engineering Manager at Adobe, where he leads the team by being a strong voice for them and aligning with cross-functional partners driving towards the same business and company goals. He communicates with stakeholders to understand business initiatives, set roadmaps, and determine software requirements. Rahul leads the team for relaunching Adobe Campaign Classic-v8 by scaling system throughput, built processes and tools for improving quality of deliverable and for ensuring adherence to various performance SLAs across varied customer use-cases. He has also stabilized Sophia (Personalisation platform @ Adobe) Analytics and modularized stacks into micro-services, reducing attrition in the new team by regular 1:1s, understanding career aspirations, and defining a proper career development plan while aligning them with the overall org vision. Previously, Rahul has worked as an Engineering Manager at Paytm, where he improved different aspects like stability, scalability, and security of the system. He built tools for improvement in system health monitoring, alerting, participated in architecture and design reviews for tasks that require complex technical solutions, and mentored fresh hires and junior engineers. Rahul has also worked as an Engineering Manager at GoFro, an online marketplace for travel holiday packages. He designed and developed a generic search framework for all travel entities, built an entity-resolution system to auto-map supplier entities with GoFro entities, and designed and developed the entire backend for the Advisor marketplace from scratch. Rahul holds a B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT).
