Rahul Kar is an Associate Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics with 4.87 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering. He is currently working on the Firmware Design of various upcoming projects in the EIS industry, with expertise in embedded Flash memory, UFS, and eMMC Protocol. Rahul has a strong background in shell scripting, Python test development, Failure Analysis, and Debugging. He has developed ABC (Automated Bug Capturing Tool), a fast error log parsing tool that reduces the time for root cause analysis by around 95%. Prior to joining Samsung, Rahul worked as a System Design Engineer at Western Digital, where he was responsible for Firmware FA (Failure Analysis) for UFS products. He developed Python scripts for fast parsing of logs and gained a better understanding of NAND memory and the basics of the UFS protocol. He also worked as a Graduate Intern at SanDisk®, where he developed a RAID software that supports parallel processing in multiple USB devices. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli.
