Rahul Kumar is a Mining Engineer with a passion for innovation and technology in the mining industry. He is currently working as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Vedanta Resources Ltd.), one of the largest companies producing Zinc, Lead, and Silver. He is based at SK Mine, which is Asia's highly mechanized underground mine in Geo-tech department where he has gained experience in production blasting team for two months, generating 6 MTPA through different blasting technologies. Rahul has completed his Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from BIT Sindri in 2022. He has also done vocational training from BCCL on Longwall method of Coal extraction. During the COVID period, he has completed some online certification courses to enhance his knowledge. Rahul has also done an internship from Groundhog where he worked as a Member of Technical Staff. He learned about Mine Digitization like Ventilation on Demand, Fuel Monitoring System, SIC, FMS, and how sensors, IoT devices can be used to solve mining industry problems. Rahul is a quick learner and has a keen interest in software engineering. He has listed Software Engineering as his TechStack. He is currently working as a Trainee at Orica where he has completed a 2-day training session on iKon System user. Rahul is a dedicated and hardworking individual who is passionate about his work. He has relevant experience of 1.44 years in the mining industry. He is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow in his career.
