Rahul Kumar is a highly experienced software development manager with over 7 years of experience in developing software at scale and creating standards around software design and integration. He is a technical enthusiast with a deep understanding of Object Oriented Design principles and hands-on experience in Java8 and other J2EE/Spring enterprise technologies. Rahul has extensive experience in designing scalable and maintainable solutions for the retail industry. He has designed both Tier 1 (Detail page) and Tier 2 (Order management System) for retail and has a strong understanding of REST architecture and principles. He is conversant with Webservices/SOA, SOAP (JAX-WS), and RESTful (JAX-RS). Rahul has a strong experience in RDBMS (Oracle) data modeling and writing SQL queries. He has used testing frameworks like TestNG, Mockito, JMeter, Spock, Groovy, and Spring test utilities to write Integration/functional Tests and unit tests. Currently, Rahul is working as an Engineer at L&T Infotech, where he is utilizing his strong knowledge of Java. Previously, he worked as an Engineer and Senior Engineer at Target Corporation, where he was responsible for designing and developing the Order Management System (OMS). He designed order intake applications in Spring Boot, developed REST web-services, worked on chef-based deployment, and wrote Junit/Spock functional/Unit test cases for APIs. Rahul also handled deployment in OpenStack boxes and supported live issues. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from LNCT Bhopal.
