Rahul Kushwaha is an experienced Software Development Engineer with a passion for programming and backend development. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he specializes in Golang, backend development, and microservices. Currently working as an SDE-II at Swiggy, Rahul is responsible for handling intelligent promotions at scale. Prior to Swiggy, Rahul worked as a Senior Software Engineer I and a Software Engineer at MakeMyTrip. During his tenure, he was responsible for pricing and personalization part of hotels backend team and used Golang Gin framework for building microservices and TDD. Rahul has hands-on experience with various database technologies including Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB, and Aerospike. He has also revamped and re-architected old modules and written scalable and optimized production-level code, thereby improving latency and reliability. Rahul has won several awards for his contributions, including the Go-Tripper of the month award for SEPT'20, the GoAlpha Award for the month of JUNE'19, and the Go-Tripper of the Quarter award for Q3, 19-20 for his contribution and managing Alternate Accommodation Project. Rahul holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology and completed his schooling in Mathematics and Computer Science from Holy Cross Ashram School, Datia (M.P.). Rahul's tech stack includes Golang, MySQL, Redis, Javascript, PHP, MongoDB, Cassandra, Microservices, New Relic, Kafka, and Jenkins.
