Rahul Raj is a skilled and experienced DevOps Tech Lead with a technical mindset and a passion for working with different technologies. With over 9 years of relevant experience, he has a diverse background in data engineering, data science, and software engineering. Rahul started his career at Mu Sigma, where he worked with various clients on data mining and data processing projects, primarily in cloud/AWS/Ec2 instances and Big Data technologies like Redshift and Spark. After that, he joined the ever-growing startup Eros Now as a Data Engineer, where he manages everything related to data, from creating and managing data processing pipelines to data lifecycle management to generating reports. He also manages analytics partners and helps them with their analysis. Rahul is currently working as a Software/Data Engineer and DevOps Tech Lead at Rakuten, where he continues to utilize his extensive technical skills and experience. He has a broad range of technical skills, including Scala, Spark, SQL, Python, Redshift, Tableau, AWS, Flink, Google Tag Mgmt., Meteor.js, D3.js, H2O, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Hive, R, SAS, Shell Scripting, Java, Docker, Mesos/Marathon, Kafka, Elastic Search, and Kibana. In addition to his technical skills, Rahul also has a strong background in data science. He is skilled in data modeling, data warehouse and lifecycle management, data collection, data cleaning, data preprocessing, data manipulation, data patterns and insights generation, report generation and visualization, decision sciences, and machine learning algorithms. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Information Technology from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He also completed his 12th grade at D.A.V Public School.
