Rahul Samat is a Partner and India Head at Entrepreneur First, with a passion for technology, socio-economic development, and growing ventures/businesses to their true potential scale. He has built a couple of fast-growing FoodTech startups out of India and has interests and expertise that lie at the intersection of e-comm/marketplaces, gaming, blockchain tech, product, strategy, education, sports, and job creation. Prior to joining Entrepreneur First, Rahul was an EIR at a couple of global accelerators, helping portfolio companies (early stage tech startups) with Business, Strategy, Product, BizDev, Marketing, Growth, Monetization and Fundraising. Before the startup life, he led teams at Capital One (DC Area) & Barclays Investment Bank (NYC) for about 4 years. Rahul has a Master of Science in Computer Graphics & Game Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering from Osmania University, and a Stanford Ignite, Innovation and Entrepreneurship degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is also a StartingBloc & iMentor Fellow. Rahul's professional bucket list includes coaching a soccer team, being a national finalist in a soccer championship, featuring in a national/global culinary contest, being employed by Liverpool Football Club for at least 24 hours, and being involved with/leading a business focused on improving the future of children/young adults. Rahul has worked with Swiggy as Head of Private & Strategic Brands (Strategy & New Initiatives), where he was an early member of the core leadership team and the first hire brought in to build Swiggy's cloud kitchen, private brands & strategic brands businesses. He also co-founded InnerChef, one of India’s first and most loved FoodTech companies delivering fresh, delicious & wholesome food through the day by leveraging technology across the board. He built and ran all growth, analytics, marketing & brand orgs from the ground up. Rahul's tech stack includes blockchain, and he has 13.20 years of relevant experience.
