Rahul Sekar is a co-founder and CTO at MyShubhLife, where he is building a next-generation technology and analytics platform to bring responsible credit to underserved communities in India. With over 13 years of experience in finance and technology, Rahul has built and led various teams at Goldman Sachs, specializing in algorithmic trading, derivative pricing, quantitative investments, risk and attribution models, and real-time analytics on large datasets. Rahul is a competitive programmer who has represented India at various international events. He graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras with a Bachelor's in Technology. At MyShubhLife, Rahul has secured multiple rounds of funding from marquee angel investors and venture capitalists, enabling the business to serve over 2 million users. He is building an agile, micro-service-based technology platform on AWS, with a small team of engineers who have developed an Android app with over 2 million downloads and web dashboards used by 500+ internal and external users. The serverless technology stack includes Python, Java, MongoDB, React, and Android. Rahul is also nurturing young developers to become 10x engineers and leaders. Rahul has assembled a strong team of data scientists to understand and monitor the sales funnels, user behavior, creditworthiness, portfolio risk, and operational metrics at MyShubhLife. He has developed interactive self-service dashboards to review nuanced business and operational dynamics and an alternate data-based credit scoring model to serve thin-file borrowers. Rahul is also overseeing finance and accounting. In addition to his work at MyShubhLife, Rahul is a director at Ekagrata Finance, a fully owned NBFC subsidiary. He also advises OctavesOnline.com, an online platform for learning Indian music, where he has guided the team to organically grow subscriptions and build the brand. Rahul has helped produce over 450 free videos for the YouTube channel and built a low-cost, low-maintenance technology platform for enabling online classes, attendance, and payments management. The Firebase application includes Firestore, Functions, and Hosting (Angular 5), with payments via Razorpay and PayPal. Rahul's tech stack includes AWS, product management, software engineering, Android, senior software engineering, MongoDB, microservices, web, Python, and Java.
