Rahul Sharma is a highly experienced Cloud Architect with a passion for all things cloud native. With over 11 years of experience in the IT industry, he has helped numerous international clients, including ANZ Bank, Bank of Montreal, Rogers Communication, State Street Inc, and Cummins Inc., to embark on their transformation journey towards the cloud native world with containerization. Rahul's expertise lies in handling PaaS platform services and container orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Minio, Yugabyte, and Prometheus, to name a few. He has extensive experience in installation, configuration, and day-to-day operations around microservices running on container runtimes, including application onboarding, troubleshooting, and architectural designing. Currently, Rahul works as a Senior Tech Lead for AI Cloud and DevOps Engineering at Rakuten. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Engineer for DevOps Engineering and Microservices at American Express and as a Consultant for Cloud Native Services and PaaS Platforms at HCL. At HCL, Rahul worked on PaaS solutions, such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, and Azure, and handled business as usual operations on cloud native technologies. Rahul holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Sikkim Mani Pal University and a GNIIT (Software Engineering) Diploma from NIIT. He also completed his graduation in BA from Delhi University. In addition to his technical skills, Rahul is also an accomplished product manager and a Site Reliability expert. His tech stack includes SRE, DevOps, Senior Software Engineer, AI, Kubernetes, Microservices, Ansible, Jenkins, AWS, Docker, and Azure.
