Rahul Shaw is a seasoned software engineer with a strong background in theoretical high energy physics. His passion for computer sciences was ignited during his master's research project at IIT Kanpur, where he discovered the true potential of the field. He started his career as a Site Reliability Engineer at InMobi, where he gained a deep understanding of software engineering principles and identified common mistakes made by startups during their growing phase. Rahul developed three internal platforms from scratch and contributed to two others that directly catered to all internal stakeholders. During his time at InMobi, Rahul worked on five projects that directly impacted revenue in the Data Sciences team, broadening his view on designing products that fit user needs while generating value for the company in an optimized way. Later, at Netskope, Rahul analyzed and solved operational problems faced by the SRE team, proposing, designing, and developing a solution to execute all operational tasks in a streamlined, repeatable, and abstracted way within the constraints of network security ACLs and user access ACLs, significantly reducing operational overhead. Rahul has worked with a wide range of tools and technologies, including Python, Django, Celery, Kafka, Docker, Redis, Grafana, HAProxy, Nginx, and MongoDB. He is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Pushowl and has previously held positions as a Member of Technical Staff-4 SRE at Netskope and Senior Software Engineer SRE at InMobi. Rahul holds a Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. He has relevant experience of 6.87 years and possesses expertise in software engineering, SRE, Python, Docker, NLP, Spark, Redis, Django, research science, MongoDB, Kafka, and mobile technologies.
