Rahul Shikhare is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Python, Go, and C programming. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Securly, where he is involved in developing the student wellness monitoring platform, "Aware." His responsibilities include working on the sentiment analyzer and "AtRisk" tool, which estimates students' wellness scores based on their online activity sentiment. He has also designed and implemented the Nudity Image Quarantine feature, which quarantines images stored in students' Google Drive and supports quarantining emails with nudity attachments and bully content. Prior to Securly, Rahul worked as a Software Engineer at Vaultize, where he contributed to the development of various web server APIs, designed and implemented Vaultize's vDRM file format, and worked on the Vaultize Agent and vDRM Viewer. He also designed and implemented the MacOS's right-click manager and DRM PDF viewer for macOS. Rahul has experience working with Python, MongoDB, C, Swift, Nginx, Web.py, and REST API. Previously, Rahul worked as a Software Engineer at One Convergence, where he contributed to an open-source project called Network Function Plugins (NFP), which provides service life-cycle management, device life-cycle management, and configuration of network services like Firewall, Loadbalancer, and VPN on OpenStack Cloud environment. Rahul worked on the Config-Orchestrator module, NFP process framework, and the proxy-agent module. He has experience working with Python, C Programming, Shell Scripting, Open-Stack, RESTful API, RPC with RabbitMq, OpenvSwitch, and Linux bridge. Rahul has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai and a Diploma in Information Technology from the Institute of Civil & Rural Engineering, Gargoti, Dist. Kolhapur, Maharashtra. He completed his High School education from S.S. High School Nesari, Maharashtra. Rahul has 7.79 years of relevant experience as a Software Engineer with expertise in Backend, Python, Swift, Web, Search, MongoDB, DevOps, and RabbitMQ.
