Rahul Suresh is a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer, currently working as an SDE-2 at Unacademy, India's largest learning platform with over 50 million learners. With a passion for building software products that engage users and make them want to come back, Rahul has fostered a product mindset that enables him to take a user-first approach to solving problems, along with the right blend of technical skillset comprising of expertise in technologies such as JavaScript and React.js. Rahul has over three years of relevant experience, during which he has worked closely with communities and startups, developing a deep understanding of community leadership and product engineering. He has held several community leadership roles at college, including Former Team Lead of Google Developer Student Club, Former Adobe Student Ambassador, and Technical Lead of Mozilla Campus Club. Rahul is also an active member of Google Developers Group and Mozilla Foundation. Rahul's technical skill set includes proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, frameworks/libraries such as React, Redux, Gatsby, Next.js, TailwindCSS, and React Query, and deployment technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Jenkins. He also has experience in scripting languages such as NodeJS and Python, and is interested in Typescript, GraphQL, and web performance. In his previous role as Software Engineer - Frontend Lead at Crio.do, Rahul architected and developed the entire frontend software suite for all web products at Crio, which helped the startup grow towards $3 million USD ARR. He developed premium components in React and launched brand new webpages for Crio, following best SEO practices, web performance strategies like Code Splitting, Lazy Loading, and modular coding patterns. Rahul also implemented Static Site Generation, SEO best practices, and performance optimizations with Gatsby/Next.js and helped Crio Platform rank on page 1 of Google Search for multiple competitive keywords. Rahul holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from SRM University. He is also interested in flight simulation and Airbus flight systems, which he has pursued as a casual interest for several years.
