Raivat Shah is a passionate software engineer with a focus on building user-focused products that have a large-scale impact. He prefers to be a generalist engineer and sees coding as a means to an end. With just under a year of relevant experience, Raivat is just starting his career and is eager to continue learning and growing. Currently, Raivat is a Section Leader at Rocket Academy, a leading coding bootcamp based in Singapore. In this role, he co-led the teaching for one of the classes of the bootcamp, where he taught full stack web app development and basic data structures and algorithms. He was also responsible for providing feedback on student projects and programming exercises and improving the bootcamp technical content. Raivat has also completed internships at Garena and PayPal, where he gained experience in software engineering. At Garena, he implemented UI features for the BOOYAH! iOS app and designed and implemented a service to measure glass-to-glass latency in the iOS app for test environment. At PayPal, he built new functionality and resolved critical issues for an internal on-boarding tool used by 30 employees and streamlined the data pipeline for API error logs to reduce time spent on stack trace analysis. Raivat holds a Bachelor of Computing in Computer Science and a USP Certificate from the National University of Singapore, where he also completed the Future Leadership Programme. He also holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate and a Pearson BTEC Subsidiary Diploma from Mahatma Gandhi International School. Raivat's tech stack includes software engineering, iOS, frontend, backend, web, test, and UI. He is excited to continue developing his skills and learning new technologies as he progresses in his career.
