Raj Haresh Patel is an experienced ADAS/AD Embedded SW Engineer currently working in the ADAS Algo Development team at Renault Software Labs in Sophia Antipolis, France. With a PhD in Vehicular Communications, IoT, and Mobile Communications, Raj has published six papers on ADAS algorithms, including collision-free emergency braking. Raj has a passion for optimizing squad performance and team management. He evaluates tasks to be accomplished during PI and assigns them accurately to squad members based on their strengths and interests to maximize productivity. He follows each squad member's progress during daily standup and supports them with required ideas and technical tricks to resolve their particular issues. Currently, Raj is managing the activities of a team of four consultants primarily working remotely from France with rare presence on site. He is responsible for developing a Connected Car module that processes DENM messages for V2X events like stationary vehicle, slippery road, end of the queue. In Raj's current role, he is involved in the analysis of real-world drive tests and coordinates with the validation team to ensure the smooth development of TPT tests and solving bugs. He also develops regression and non-regression tests. Raj has managed a team of two consultants located in India that participated in developing TPT tests and maintained validation-test reports. He is a member of a team that implemented Continuous Integration and Agile methodology and interacted with teams located in Paris/Tolouse and used Scaner and Carmaker to validate developed algorithms. In the past, Raj has worked as a Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology and as a PhD student (Researcher) on Collision Avoidance between Autonomous and Manually Driven vehicles at UPMC - Sorbonne Universities. During his PhD, he received the EDITE grant for three years and won the Best Poster Award during MFTS 2018 by the European Commission Joint Research Centre, Ispra, Italy. Raj's technical expertise includes ADAS algorithms, safety-critical braking, and control systems. His interests lie in squad performance optimization and team management. He has experience with test, research scientist, CI/CD, and integration. With 3.87 years of relevant experience, Raj is a valuable asset to any team.
