Raj Doshi is a seasoned full stack developer with over 10 years of experience in the industry. He has a strong expertise in Java 8, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, and Angular 6. His career objective is to learn and earn, which has driven him to work on various technologies such as REST-based web services, and many more. Currently, Raj is a Software Engineer II at Glovo, one of the most popular delivery apps in Europe. He is a part of the Core payments team, where he is responsible for developing various payment-related features that are widely demanded by customers. Raj has developed split payments, where payment for any order can be split into multiple payment methods, and payment can also be made using food cards like Sodexo, Edenred, etc. He has also worked on an initiative where a payment module was moved out of monolith and a separate microservice was created to support scalability and reduce dependency on other modules of the system. During his tenure at Glovo, Raj has gained exposure to various tools and technologies like Datadog, Spinnaker, AWS, Kafka, and Java 11. He has also learned various new design patterns, including Event-driven development for async processing of payments. Prior to Glovo, Raj has worked with Morgan Stanley as a Senior Manager and MSCI Inc. as an Associate. At Morgan Stanley, he has contributed software engineering expertise in the development of products through the software lifecycle, from requirements definition through successful deployment. He has also developed elastic search & Spring Boot-based software to improve search response time of time series-based data in Investment bank. At MSCI Inc., he has developed REST-based API’s in Java using Spring Boot and revamped existing DB solution by designing data model for Cassandra, which eventually helped the application to get faster results from TB’s of data. Raj holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Information Technology from Vidyalankar Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Information Technology from Thakur Polytechnic. He is proficient in various technologies such as Software Engineering, Kafka, Spring Boot, Cassandra, Java, Spring, AngularJS, AWS, Microservices, Search, Web, and Elastic Search.
