Raj Kumar is a statistician with over 5 years of experience in delivering data science solutions in Ad-tech and e-commerce space. He is currently working as a Senior Analytics Engineer at Koo India. Raj has expertise in building data science solutions across the full programmatic stack, including SSP, DSP, DMP & RTB. He is skilled in using programming languages such as Python and R, and various cloud platforms such as AWS. He is also proficient in using databases such as MySQL, Citus(PostgreSQL), Hive, Elastic Search, and Amazon Athena. Raj has utilized AWS tech stack to quickly analyze billions of log events and extract actionable insights from 2TB/day of RTB logs. He is passionate about participating in MOOCs and building what he learns from them. Raj has built gitdiscoverer.com, a platform that lets you discover trending repos/developers and popular projects in the data science space. He has also won the Grand prize Winner of 2nd Annual Shiny contest for Gitdiscoverer. Raj has worked with various companies such as C1X and Jetsynthesys as a Data Scientist and Data Analyst, respectively. At C1X, he led initiatives such as GDPR use-case for a large e-commerce client, setting up self-serve analytics, and developing a URL classification model to identify and enrich an ad impression. At Jetsynthesys, he implemented a URL classification model that categorized 56K domains into segments using a third-party website and identified keywords for respective taxonomies for search retargeting. Raj has completed his Master's degree in Statistics from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and a Data Science for Business with R course from Business Science University. He has also completed his BSc.(H) in Statistics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, and Class 12 from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
