Raj Kumaradhevan is a highly skilled Solutions Architect at Mapbox with over 8 years of relevant experience. He is a seasoned professional who has worked on bespoke embedded platforms, hardware bring-up, u-boot, and customized Yocto Linux images with Mapbox maps for in-car infotainment demos. He has also developed PoCs for several strategic automakers, Tier 1, and ride-sharing companies. Raj has successfully closed two strategic deals with the largest automaker in the world for their European and US market vehicles. In his current role, Raj is responsible for building customer integrations for VisionSDK, Mapbox’s computer vision platform for AR navigation, perception features, and mapping solutions for automotive OEMs on Linux and Android platforms. He has championed relationships with external technical audiences of all kinds from engineers to CTOs and presented technical demonstrations and PoCs. Raj has also worked with internal cross-functional product teams in tandem with strategic automotive customers across time zones in Japan, Europe, and the US. Prior to his current role at Mapbox, Raj worked as a Solutions Engineer in the Embedded/Automotive domain at Mapbox and as a Software Engineer/Technical Developer at Civil Maps. At Civil Maps, he contributed to every level of the stack including back-end (JavaScript/ NodeJS), application code (C++, Boost, POCO), infrastructure (AWS/Azure/PrivateCloud), game engines (Unreal Engine), containers (Docker), build systems (Jenkins, Travis CI) automation/scripting(Bash/Python), and tiny parts of front-end; tiling and publishing their maps on their cloud infrastructure. Raj holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from California State University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Anna University. He is proficient in several technologies such as Android, Computer Vision, Search, AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Azure, Frontend, and Backend.
