Rajat Agarwal is a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager at Confluent, with a passion for building and growing engineering teams to deliver high business impact and drive innovation through data-driven decisions and agile execution. With over 14 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing Large Scale Distributed Systems, Rajat has also spent 9+ years building Big Data solutions from scratch, handling 50Bn+ events, and 300TB+ data per day. Rajat has co-authored products and partnered with stakeholders across functions to achieve amplified business growth and impact. He also worked as a Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft, leading a team of highly motivated engineers and building a compliant Big Data platform for Data Science experimentation, handling data at petabyte scale and tens of billions of events per day. Rajat holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), where he graduated in 2007. He has a relevant experience of 15.62 years and is skilled in Senior Software Engineering, Kafka, Big Data, Spark, Hadoop, Apache Hive, and Data Science.
