Rajat Chaudhary is a highly skilled software engineer with over 6 years of experience in backend development and data engineering, specializing in big data. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Rajat has a strong background in startup environments, having built more than 10 projects from scratch, designed APIs and services, set up Database Clusters, and managed DevOps. Rajat has a proven track record of success in his field. At his first company, he helped set up DaaS (Data as a Service), which reduced server costs by 40% and gave the world access to APIs that provided all the important medical data, including CTs, Publications, Congresses, etc. Recently, he developed a browser-based JS plugin to dynamically add multiple widgets to websites for e-commerce sellers. Currently, Rajat is working as an SDE 2 at Koo India, a social news update and opinion-sharing micro-blogging platform. He is responsible for handling a few microservices, including analytics and file upload service, which deal with very high scale. He has built the analytics service from scratch in elixir, handling ~200k rpm. He has also set up a Clickhouse cluster (self-managed) that stores ~50 million entries daily and serves ~200 requests/sec. Additionally, he has set up an event-driven microservices and consumers using Kafka, Flink, and protobuf. In his previous roles, Rajat has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Konigle and a Member of Technical Staff at Instart Logic. At Konigle, he handled backend development, including data management and engineering, APIs, Async jobs, and DevOps. At Instart Logic, he worked on the enhancement of NGINX plugins (in C++) which helps in web performance by optimizing HTML/CSS/JS contents. Rajat has a strong technical skill set, including expertise in AWS, Data Engineering, Apache Airflow, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Elastic Search, GCP, infra, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Web, Django, Blockchain, New Relic, CI/CD, test, Redis, Docker, MySQL, Jenkins, Flask, Mobile, Python, and more.
