Rajat Gupta is a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE-2) with over 4 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working with MakeMyTrip, one of India's leading online travel companies, where he holds the position of Senior Software Development Engineer. Rajat is a problem solver and enthusiastic programmer who enjoys solving complex business and user problems through technology. He is highly interested in building mobile (Android and iOS) and web-based applications, and implementing server-side coding involving databases and APIs using machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts. He has built a cross-sell engine from scratch that can suggest the relevant LOB and SKUs to cross-sell to the user depending on multiple user & transaction attributes with the objective to improve the no of transactions, GMV per user and increase the penetration of smaller LOBs & new initiatives. He has also built Lumos engine from scratch for a personalized & unique user experience on the homepage through contextual widgets & the capability to change them dynamically as per the user's preferences and interests. Additionally, he has built a whole new Loyalty Module which aims to provide special benefits and discounts to the loyal and active users of the app. Previously, Rajat has worked with Zomato as a Software Engineer Intern, where he worked on building a task management platform, Assigner app where the user can create, manage, chat with assignee, check status, summarize all tasks. He also worked on the Assignee app where the user gets assigned tasks via Firebase Cloud Functions, Firebase Real-time chat, manage, modify tasks. He implemented Firebase Real-time chat feature where assigner and assignee can interact and coordinate to get things done accordingly.
