Rajat Gupta is an experienced Android Frameworks Engineer SDE2 currently working at Jio, where he is responsible for building XR Platforms and customizing AOSP and Linux for XR use cases in Jio Mixed Reality devices like JioGlass. He is an active contributor to the system and platform design of products and is responsible for frameworks across the OS for Head Tracking, 6DoF and 3DoF Algorithm Integration from SLAM/CV, 3D Point Cloud, and Plane Detection. Rajat has a strong background in XR internals and GameEngine Plugins, and he has developed multiple libraries for Jio Mixed Reality, including Snapdragon VR - SVR, SXR, RVR, Package Manager, OS Updates, System UI, Settings, 2D Application Passthrough in XR, Analytics, System Applications, and OS Plugin Development for Unity Apps. In his previous role at Jio as an Android Frameworks Engineer SDE, Rajat single-handedly planned and led the development of a Mixed Reality OS based on AOSP for internal devices. He was solely responsible for the Jio Mixed Reality Ecosystem on Qualcomm platforms like Snapdragon 835 and 845 and brought up AOSP on Qualcomm XR2 to the 1st gen of Jio mixed reality OS with core features like Tracking and Display management. Rajat is highly skilled in problem-solving and vendor management, and he has driven the core services/SDK and Internal/External Apps Integration. He is a knowledge expert for AOSP framework and system apps and has handled change management and problem/issues management. He is committed to delivering high-quality results and squeezing timelines to meet the organization's overall goals. Rajat holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Chitkara University and completed his schooling from St Edwards School, Shimla.
