Rajat Patra is a highly skilled IT professional with over 10 years of relevant experience in the software development industry. He is currently an IT Advisory Intern at KPMG, where he researched and submitted a report analyzing the risk associated with various digital channels that customers use to interact with a bank. Prior to joining KPMG, Rajat worked as a Software Engineer at Societe Generale, where he designed, developed, tested, and maintained software for Compliance, Retail & Capital Markets, and Private banking business verticals. He also served as the lead developer for a Monitoring Tool, COSI-TMON, and mentored three other colleagues to integrate them into the TMON development team. Rajat has experience in offshore-onshore engagements, designing and developing high-quality and reliable deliverables, and creating working relationships with geographically distributed teams. He used the newest methodologies such as Agile to evolve solutions and interacted with clients to understand their business requirements. During his time at Societe Generale, Rajat also worked as a Trainee on a project for Societe Generale's BHFM business line on their back-office application - Market, deployed in multiple countries across Europe and Africa. He participated in the software development life cycle, redesigned the user interface of the application using technologies such as AJAX to implement asynchronous refresh to achieve performance improvements and HTML, CSS to improve the user experience. He reduced operational risk by strengthening validation checks to prevent erroneous entries and implemented numerous change requests involving development, unit testing, UAT, and deployment. Rajat holds a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. He has a strong technical background and is skilled in software engineering and testing. In addition to his professional experience, Rajat has also worked on side projects such as sending out a Compliance-SAF Weekly Tips Newsletter to inform other employees about tech tips and banking topics, helping them perform better at their job. He is a dedicated and hardworking individual who strives for excellence in everything he does.
