Rajat Shinde is a Ph.D. student at CSRE, IIT Bombay, and a Prime Minister's Research Fellow with a passion for learning and improving himself every day. He is also an OSGeo Board Member and a Charter Member of osgeo. With a strong background in Geo-informatics and Natural Resources Engineering, Rajat is a research scientist with almost two years of relevant experience. In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Rajat has a keen interest in music and reading, playing the flute in his spare time. He is highly excited to have been elected as an OSGeo Board Member and is looking forward to the great learning opportunities that lie ahead. Rajat has also served as a Project Steering Committee (PSC) Member for the ZOO-Project, an open-source Web Processing Service implementation of the OGC's WPS standards. He is deeply committed to open-source software and has contributed significantly to the development of the ZOO-Project. Rajat's academic journey has been impressive, with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Raipur, followed by a Master of Technology in Geo-informatics and Natural Resources Engineering from IIT Bombay. He is currently pursuing a dual-degree M.Tech-Ph.D. program at IIT Bombay as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow. Rajat's tech stack includes research scientist and web development skills, and he is always looking to expand his knowledge and expertise in these areas. Overall, Rajat is a highly motivated and talented individual with a passion for learning, contributing to the open-source community, and making a positive impact in the world.
