Rajat Valecha is a highly motivated and results-oriented Software Engineer currently working at Samsung R&D Institute in Delhi. Despite his background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Rajat considers himself an explorer and is not confined to any particular discipline. He is a hard-working individual who is always willing to take on new challenges. As a Software Engineer in the Multimedia domain of the Platform Software Team, Rajat is an expert in various multimedia frameworks and streaming protocols such as Dash, Smooth Streaming, and HLS. He is a core member of the HLS Streaming team and has added features like multi-stream, multi-device sync, cmaf, ttml, 8k playback, and low-latency support. Rajat has also completed several front-end projects and tools needed for real-time performance analysis and automated testing of the development done in the domain. He has designed and developed a client-side ad-framework for stitching ads at the client-side and enhanced the streaming accelerator to enable fast downloading of content to minimize buffering events in playbacks. Before joining Samsung, Rajat worked as an intern at Flipkart where he set up the Sentry Application for Client-Side error logging. He also worked as an Electronics Prototype Intern at Live Braille Wearable Solution where he designed an efficient algorithm and wrote code for the main product of the company. Rajat holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minor in Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. He completed his high school education in Science - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at Patel Public School in Rajpura. Rajat's technical skills include Software Engineering, Testing, and Front-end development. He has relevant experience of 5.79 years. Rajat is a dedicated and hard-working individual who is always willing to learn and take on new challenges.
