Rajdeep Biswas is a highly experienced Head of Data Engineering & Analytics, Vice President at GEP Worldwide, with over 13 years of relevant experience. He is deeply passionate about creating trusted and efficient data solutions that enable businesses to make informed decisions without compromising on security or reliability. Rajdeep has extensive expertise in solving complex business problems using Distributed Computing (Hadoop/Spark), Internet of Things (IoT), Data Lake, Data Mesh, SQL/NoSQL, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Machine Learning. He has spearheaded the architecture and deployment of multi-petabyte scale greenfield/brownfield Hadoop, Spark, and MPP Datawarehouse on multi-cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. Performance tuning at scale is Rajdeep's forte, and he is always striving to optimize performance for the best results. Outside of work, Rajdeep is an enthusiastic cook, a lover of pool and cricket, and a published author of reusable code. Rajdeep's past experience includes working as Director, Advanced Analytics & Machine Learning at Microsoft, where he led several successful projects. He also worked at Hortonworks as Lead Solutions Architect, Big Data and Machine Learning, where he delivered architecture and deployed/fine-tuned Apache Hadoop and Spark Data Science and Data Engineering workloads, delivering sustainable ROI to the business units. Rajdeep has a Master of Science degree in Data Science from Bellevue University, a B-Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, and a High School degree in Maths Physics from South Point High School.
