Rajesh "Raj" Varma is a hands-on technologist with over 23 years of experience in designing scalable systems and products, and forming highly productive teams. He is currently the CTO at Adstrak, a startup that aims to build a Digital Marketing Automation Solution for small and large businesses. Adstrak has two products – Adstrak Platform (B2B) and BrandU (B2C). As the CTO, Rajesh is responsible for the entire technology development, automation of service delivery, and operations. He envisions the products and leads a team of business analysts, product managers, architects, developers, and testers. His tech stack includes Ruby, Sinatra, MySQL, Bootstrap, Backbone, Linux, Cordova (Android, iOS), Google Adwords API, and Facebook API. Prior to Adstrak, Rajesh was the Director of Technology, Cloud Ops Research and Development at MetricStream, a market leader in Enterprise-wide GRC and Quality Solutions for global corporations. He was responsible for driving technology innovation for ad-hoc requirements and solving customer-oriented problems. Rajesh is also a partner at Coder's Cafe, a restaurant for techies in the Electronics City area of Bangalore. He built a mobile web app to automate the entire process of ordering food, processing (cooking workflow), dispatch, delivery, and payment. The app uses JQueryMobile, Ruby & Sinatra, MySQL, and is hosted on Linux. Rajesh holds a PUC degree in PCMB from St. Joseph's College, Bangalore, and a High School degree in SSLC from St. Joseph's Indian High School, Bangalore. He has relevant experience in senior software engineering, MySQL, mobile development, product management, Ruby, iOS, Android, search, and research science for over 25 years.
