Rajesh Makhija is a seasoned technology leader with close to 30 years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-class financial services products. He currently serves as the Vice President of SAAS Solutions at Zeta, where he leads large engineering teams with hands-on product engineering lifecycle experience. Rajesh has successfully led several large and complex core banking transformations, working in a client partnership model. He has a solid foundation in microservices architecture, cloud-native technologies, enterprise architecture, distributed computing, and the right mix of business acumen. Prior to joining Zeta, Rajesh served as the SVP and CTO at Intellect Design Arena, where he was responsible for the architecture and technology strategy of iGTB's suite of transaction banking products. He progressively transformed the products to an open, extensible, API-first, cloud-native, and microservices architecture style. Standardizing processes and automation tools across products for improving overall product quality were also some of the key focus areas in his role. Design thinking is one of Rajesh's key competitive differentiators, and he provides guidance, mentorship, and direction to multiple product teams in design thinking for various aspects of the software development lifecycle. Rajesh has also worked as a consultant to Yes Bank Ltd, where he collaborated with the bank's strategy teams to ideate and brainstorm using design thinking to arrive at multiple strategies to build a pure digital bank. Rajesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics from K J Somaiya College of Engineering and completed his HSC in Science from Jai Hind College. He has relevant experience of 31.71 years and is proficient in microservices, senior software engineering, and software engineering.
