Rajesh Sapkale is an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems. With over 11 years of experience in a broad range of software, middleware, and utilities, he has developed expertise in Site Reliability, Linux Administration, Release Management, Troubleshooting performance issues, and Cassandra Administration, among others. Rajesh is proficient in a wide range of software, including Operating Systems such as Linux, Cloud Computing tools like AWS and GCP, Programming Languages like Python and Java, Scripting Languages like Shell Scripting, Configuration Management tools like Ansible and Chef, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Rundeck. He is also well-versed in Monitoring Products such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jennifer, Victoriametrics, Splunk, and Sensu, and Databases such as Cassandra, MySql, MongoDb, and Redis. Rajesh is currently working as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Akamai, where he is responsible for ensuring the reliability and stability of Akamai's security products, including Bot Manager and Account Protector. His job responsibilities include Cassandra cluster Administration deployed on AWS, which includes cluster setup, configuration, stress testing, monitoring, alert handling, and performance tuning, among others. He also troubleshoots, handles alerts, resolves bugs, scripts, and monitors servers, among other day-to-day activities. In his previous role as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Rakuten, Rajesh was responsible for deploying applications, patches, and configuration changes into Dev/Stage/Production environments. He also automated deployments using Ansible and Rundeck, analyzed requirements, designed, constructed, tested, and released infrastructure for web applications, and installed/configured integrated environments, among other responsibilities. Prior to that, he worked as a Freelance Lecturer and studied for India civil services. Rajesh holds a BTECH degree in Computer Science from VJTI, Mumbai, and is a Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) Credential holder and a Certified Scrum Master.
