Rajeshwar Hungund is an accomplished Engineering Management professional with a strong background in product management and consulting. He is currently the Founder of Prithvi Books, an e-commerce company that publishes and retails healthcare and medical literature, books, and medical equipment. Under his leadership, the company has completed over 25,000 successful orders and deliveries across India to date and has raised a small team from scratch to go from idea to operational profitability within three years. Rajeshwar has also published and sold over 800 copies of the company's first title: A manual in Ophthalmology, under the brand name "Prithvi Press." Rajeshwar is a skilled product, engineering, and technology professional who has designed and developed Prithvi Book's comprehensive end-to-end order tracking management system (TMS) and the delivery date estimator web app to help customers predict delivery timelines for 26,000+ pincodes across India. He has also developed several internal scripts to automate repetitive activities, resulting in time savings of 45-70 minutes a day, and developed APIs to integrate with various third-party services. In addition to his technical expertise, Rajeshwar has a strong marketing background, having implemented basic and advanced SEO techniques and developed social media strategies to maximize reach and conversions on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. He has also worked out exclusive deals with multinational healthcare science publishers to be their sole distributor/retailer at national level conferences and virtual events conducted by them across India. Prior to founding Prithvi Books, Rajeshwar worked as a Software Developer at Wipro Technologies, where he worked on Cisco's Datacenter tier switch series, including the N9k, N7k, N5k, and N3k. He coordinated and worked on fixing client-facing bugs and adding new features on the Nexus Operating system running on Cisco's Datacenter switches in a time-bound manner with Cisco teams based across India and San Jose, California. Rajeshwar holds a degree in Engineering Management from Duke University, where he is currently enrolled. He also holds a degree in ICSE from Bethany High School in India and a degree in Product Management from PES University. With 3.86 years of relevant experience, Rajeshwar is actively seeking 2023 summer internships to further develop his skills and contribute to the growth of a dynamic organization.
