He used historical data to forecast who would default in the future by using the same set of variables on new applicants. Rajiv optimized his model to maximize AUC (area under curve) by combining various standard input variables. He determined the bank's average profit per applicant, helping the bank gain insights about customers whom they would likely target to maximize their revenue. Rajiv holds an MBA in Marketing/Marketing Management from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering Technologies/Technicians from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology.
