Rajkumar T is an experienced Platform Engineer at Logically, with over 10 years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable, distributed, and robust backend systems. He is creating an HDFS data hub by importing data from different RDMS platforms like Teradata, DB2, and Oracle, and performing analytics using Hive and MapReduce. He is also responsible for importing and exporting data to Hadoop from RDBMS using Sqoop. Rajkumar has strong experience in optimizing MR Jobs and Hive Queries and resolving system-wide bottleneck analysis, including performance tuning. He is versatile with different kinds of deployment tools like Urban Code Deploy, ERA, DAP, TIBCO, Axiom, Mesh, dweb, and reporting tools like SharePoint, Remedy, ALM, JIRA, and GCM. Prior to HCL, Rajkumar worked as a Data Engineer at General Electric, where he was responsible for integrating transaction-related data from various sources and performing data analytics on the master data to derive various insights. He also worked on the Brilliant Factory project, which aimed to make the factories managed by GE as a brilliant factory by using historic data and forecasted weather data to design prediction models to predict the occurrence of anomalies and to derive efficient ways of cost-cutting from it. Rajkumar has also worked as a Senior Core Backend Engineer at Skoov, where he developed an e-commerce product search engine. He has hands-on experience in building an automated ingestion platform that crawls websites, manipulates the data crawled, and writes them to Apache Solr using Python. He has also used Fabric to deploy Solr data from dev to prod and Celery to spawn tasks across machines for parallel processing. Rajkumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Sri Sairam Institute of Technology.
