Raju Koushik Gorantla is a Senior Software Engineer at Charter Communications and an ex-employee of Amazon Web Services (AWS). He is a graduate student from Arizona State University with a major in Computer Software Engineering. Raju is a coding enthusiast and a writer who has a passion for contributing to the world and making it a better place. Raju has a diverse professional experience working with some of the biggest names in the industry. As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS), he was responsible for developing and maintaining software applications. Prior to that, he worked as a Full Stack Developer at the Luminosity Lab, Arizona State University. Here, he developed an extension for Microsoft Sharepoint, which is a collaborative information retrieval system (search engine) for file systems. This software is used by Chemonics International across 100 countries over different teams and has increased the productivity of the development team. Raju's experience also includes working as a Google Code In Mentor at Coala Open Source Organization. Here, he managed the organization and guided mentors along with mentoring young student developers for Google Code-In 2018. Raju is an open-source developer at nexB Inc., California, and a Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2017 Developer at AboutCode. He is a FOSS lover and an open-source contributor. Recently, he presented an international talk at the Fossasia Summit, Singapore, on background asynchronous servers. Raju's education includes a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara (IIIT).
