Raju Roopani is a highly experienced software engineer with over 11 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and developing high-performance scalable software applications in product-based computer software and financial services industries. He is skilled in JavaScript/Typescript, React, Flux, NodeJS, Java, and C# and has a strong knowledge of designing and developing scalable RESTFUL Web Service architecture. Currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, Raju is responsible for the full stack development of a collaborative Microsoft Project online application that is used by millions of users across the globe for project management, portfolio management, and resource management needs. He is a performance champ for the Modern Project online application and has improved the grid rendering and scrolling performance by 3x with FPS greater than 30. He has also designed and developed Planner and Project combined app in Web/Teams Desktop/Teams Web/Teams mobile platforms and implemented various front-end and back-end features like Cut/Copy/Paste, Drag & Drop, and collaboration support. Raju has also worked as a Member Technical Staff at Envestnet Yodlee where he was responsible for the development of back-end REST APIs to aggregate financial data using Java Spring MVC Framework and webservices that support 10 million transactions per day between banks and third-party financial aggregators. He was also responsible for the integration of the Yodlee platform with various Open Banking APIs recommended by PSD2 (Payment Service Directive). Prior to that, Raju worked at ARM as a Software Engineer where he was responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing software tools to automate the Physical IP modeling/validation flows which involved implementing complex algorithms and efficient usage of core design patterns. Raju holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University.
