Rakesh S Hiremath is a highly skilled and versatile engineering leader with over 22 years of experience in the development, quality engineering, product support, DevOps, and organizational transformation of enterprise products. Rakesh has spent 8 plus years as a Senior Engineering Manager in product development, validation, and DevOps engineering. He has also served as a Global QA leader in his previous role. In his 4 years as Engineering Manager, he was responsible for functionality, system, and interoperability testing of enterprise/mid-range storage products (FC & iSCSI) across multiple operating systems. Rakesh has extensive experience in system integration/system testing, functionality and interoperability testing, creating test beds, writing test cases, debugging and troubleshooting, hardware and software testing. He has worked as an onsite support/test engineer. He possesses leadership capabilities, ownership and commitment, and is customer-centric, passionate about delivering the best results with continual learning. He is innovative and continuously improving, with expertise in product development, testing, L3 support, DevOps, enterprise storage products, and virtualization technologies. Rakesh has strong skills in continuous integration, test strategy, testing methodologies, test automation, OS, storage/telecom, SAN/NAS, SCSI/iSCSI, SAN arrays, volume managers, scripting, and agile methodology. He also has excellent people and project management skills and is adept at career development and planning. Currently, Rakesh is working as a Sr. Manager - Software Engineering (Software Development & DevOps) at Dell EMC. He is leading a group of engineers developing an enterprise-class storage product on the Windows platform, which contributes to overall annual revenue of $100+ million from over 25K customers. He is also leading a group of DevOps engineers to support multiple product teams within the storage division. Rakesh has participated in global workstream initiatives to transform the product development process and product technology roadmap planning with stakeholders, including product managers. He has developed a sustainable collaboration model with vendors and internal engineering partners. He has transformed the team to create solid product features, build system enhancements, code review, signing & check-in process, usability enhancements, and addressed long-pending customer pain points.
