Rakesh Dubbudu is a renowned public policy and public data expert, TEDx speaker, and RTI campaigner with over 17 years of relevant experience. He is the founder of Factly, one of the most well-known data journalism and public information initiatives in India. Factly produces content in various formats and works on technology tools in the information and data space. As a transparency campaigner, Rakesh has played a significant role in promoting accountability and good governance in India. He is also one of the few fact-checking organizations in India that is a verified signatory of the International Fact Checking Network (IFCN) Code of Principles. Additionally, Factly is a third-party fact-checking partner with Facebook, making it a trusted source of information for millions of people. Rakesh's passion for public policy and data-driven journalism is evident in his past work experiences. He has served as a Legislative Fellow at the US Department of State and a Right to Information Fellow at the Government of India. These experiences have given him a deep understanding of the workings of government and the importance of transparency. Rakesh holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications from NIT Warangal, where he graduated in 2005.
