Rakesh Karkare is a passionate automation test developer with over 10 years of experience in automation testing, specializing in Java, Python, Selenium, Appium, and UI automation. He has a strong functional knowledge and has worked on various projects in the banking, commodities, ERP, forex, and logistics industries. Rakesh is an expert in automating web, desktop, microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, and backend automations for interface files creation. He has good experience in integrating frameworks with test management tools and has performed testing in an Agile development environment. Additionally, he has worked with APPIUM and WINIUM for mobile and desktop-based applications. Rakesh has a good understanding of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GIT Lab CI and version controlling tools such as Tortoise-SVN (subversion), TortoiseHg (Mercurial), and GIT. He has also created a Python-based framework that has been integrated with GIT Lab Pipeline to run the suite for regression testing. Currently, Rakesh is working as a Senior QA Specialist at xische & co, where he is focusing on building services from government entities and integrating them on the TAMM portal web and mobile. He has created test automation scripts for testing API, web UI, mobile UI, and native apps using Python-based frameworks. He has automated E2E flows starting from login with a native app, submitting the application in web UI, and approving step by step from third-party government applications. In the past, Rakesh has worked with JP Morgan as an Associate, where he was responsible for designing and implementing a test automation framework as per the requirement. He has also worked with Continuum as a Senior Quality Engineer 2, where he designed and implemented test automation frameworks using Cucumber+TestNG(BDD) and integrated them with test management tools. Rakesh completed his BE in Electronics Engineering from Terna Engineering College in 2010. He has experience in various technologies such as test, QA, SDET, Mobile, UI, Python, Selenium, Java, DevOps, Web, Jenkins, CI/CD, Cassandra, Kafka, microservices, integration, backend, and AWS. Overall, he has 11.03 years of relevant experience in the field of automation testing.
